underneath all the irony and the satire, i think there’s really something to be learned from some of the things dan has to say. because if you genuinely listen to his rants, they become less of a rant and become more of an opportunity for introspection. it really struck a chord when dan was talking about making the conscious decision whether or not to compromise your values and your authenticity to fit into a societal box in order to please other people. because it’s not just a youtube dilemma, it’s a human dilemma. we’ve all dealt with it in one form or another, myself included, and at the end of the day, authenticity overrules popularity. it makes me happy to know that dan has continuously utilized his platform to speak out about these kind of internal issues and i just. i respect dan. i respect his opinions. i respect the way he thinks
