we all know dan could’ve passed pearl to phil withou caressing his hand like that, but i think he did it on purpose. phil was nervous he was too clumsy to hold pearl and that she would cry when he held her, and i think that touch was a way for dan to say “you’ll be fine. i’m right here and everything will be okay.”
